The Clay in the Potter's Hands

God told Jeremiah to go to the potter's house. Jeremiah watched the potter place clay on the wheel and shape it carefully. When the clay cracked, the potter did not throw it away — he patiently formed it into a new vessel. God said to Jeremiah, 'The people of Israel are like this clay. Even when their hearts harden and they wander, I can still remake them beautiful in My hands.' Jeremiah carried this message back, so the people might understand: God loves them and never gives up on any heart willing to turn back.
